Benefits for the environment :

Modern moulding sand binders such as the Quickbond series reduce the moisture requirement of the moulding material. Thanks to optimum flow and compaction properties, a uniformly high mould packing density is assured. Wetting of the mould surfaces by the molten metal is reduced, and the amount of lustrous carbon formers required in the recycling system is decreased. The volume of volatile organic compounds (VOC) may also be reduced. Moreover, fewer organic crack products are formed.
